Background
To push the boundaries of optical quantum computing, our team leverages integrated photonics to miniaturize optical circuits, achieve unprecedented phase stability, and accelerate light detection and modulation.
By harnessing enhanced light-matter interactions and efficient custom nonlinear optical processes, the Integrated Photonics unit explores next-generation photonic platforms to power our quantum architecture.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will engage across the research and development of photonic integrated circuit (PIC) platforms designed for optical quantum computing.
Your core focus will involve formulating R&D strategies and project plans while handling end-to-end PIC development. This includes taking ownership of circuit design, tape-out execution, device evaluation, and proof-of-concept experiments.
- Broad Scope of R&D: Because you will oversee the full PIC lifecycle, a flexible mindset and a versatile technical skill set are highly valued.
- Fabrication & Prototyping: Device fabrication and prototyping are carried out through a combination of commercial foundry services and collaborative research partner facilities.
The Role & Impact
As a research-driven team, the Integrated Photonics unit offers an environment rich with creative freedom and technical versatility.
One will be exposed to designing, executing tape-outs with established foundries, and testing custom photonic chips in-house.
We balance immediate impact with long-term exploration: leveraging mature integrated photonic platforms for novel circuit-level applications, while actively investigating emerging material platforms through both in-house fabrication and academic collaborations.
給与・待遇 Compensation
